You helped us (Amanda, John and the wee guy) almost 6 years ago thru an unexpectedly highly medicalised birth. What was meant to be an all-singing, all-dancing birth became a much quieter affair, but with your expert guidance neither John nor myself felt scared. I still have incredibly fond memories of the wee guy's entrance into the world (backed up by some excellent photos which you took 'over the drape') despite having the kind of labour etc that all my girlfriends thought incredibly disappointing. Having you as our doula made a huge difference, especially (and what turned out to be importantly) to the wee guy's strength in those first few days - thank you.pomomamahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08338550638937829078noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13826682.post-15645560825444918912009-01-29T16:24:00.000-08:002009-01-29T16:24:00.000-08:00I love this post Jacquie - it is so true. As Peggy Vincent put it, "Women's bodies have near-perfect knowledge of childbirth; it's when their brains get involved that things can go wrong". Thanks for your wonderful blog!Wendyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05863716848135544976noreply@blogger.com
